Jon graduated from Northwood University in 1988 with a BBA in Management and Marketing. He also graduated from the University of Illinois in Chicago in 2001 with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. Jon joined Yezek & Sons in February 2022, as a Project Engineer, after working with Caterpillar for almost 20 years.

Jon helped his wife Michelle, raise her 4 kids in Dunlap, and enjoys spending time with his young grandkids in Peoria.
